So, what's happened since December? I went to NYC between Christmas and New Year, and it was fucking epic! Currently planning ways to raise money so I can go again! The New Year was relatively low key, jetlag and food poisoning took care of my festivities! And then before I knew it I was on my way back to Lincoln...
Didn't really have anything to do for the first three weeks of January, as there was no uni - so we got drunk quite a lot instead. The new semester started really well, I think I've found my forte with Horror & Fantasy. Purely because I genuinely participate in the seminars, and it only took me 18 months to start! But yes, I think this summers dissertation (*cringe*) planning will revolve around something to do with horror and/or fantasy.
That's about it for the standard stuff, the only really fun thing that's happened so far was Friday night! Good Charlotte, Framing Hanley and Four Year Strong - Epic! Amazing night, I don't care what anyone says about Good Charlotte, my fourteen year-old self had the time of her life and they haven't lost their muchness! Benji & Joel (GC) and Nixon (FH) - BEAutiful men, especially when Joel chants 'Yorkshire' and Benji talks about finding himself a Yorkshire woman, *waves* Here I am!!!
And finally, myself and four of my current flatmates successfully bagged ourselves a house in the January housing event. It was a very stressful twenty-four hours in which we found out every accommodation company in Lincoln was almost sold out, our rooms for next year weren't safe, rent was going up by a tenner and all the really close/decent houses were gone. But don't fear! As we contracted ourselves a lovely little five bedroomed terraced house a mere five minutes from our current flat. And it's lovely, we can't wait to move in and are still bitter about getting fucked over by our current accommodation. As punishment we are using excessive water and heating as we don't pay the extras ;) .
Well, I guess that's a pretty decent round up. Two months of my life in four paragraphs. 'Booyah' ;)
